Funding research is in France Parkinson's DNA. Since its creation in 1984, the association has sought to support researchers and thus contribute to improving knowledge of Parkinson's disease and developing new therapeutic strategies.

The last 14 years, 276 research projects have been funded by France Parkinson, for a total of over 16.5 million euros dedicated to research as a whole.

These projects are selected by Parkinson's disease specialists with the skills required to judge the scientific merit and value of the research projects they are asked to decide on, and to ensure that these projects are in line with the association's strategic mission.

The scientific council for medical, clinical and fundamental sciences of France Parkinson

Coming from medical, clinical and fundamental sciences, the 16 members of the France Parkinson Scientific council are 50% clinical neurologists and 50% researchers. All are volunteers from the France Parkinson association.
